Dog Care
Every breed has different energy levels, medical and exercise requirements, and life expectancy, and there are a couple of ways that you can help keep your dog healthier so that you can enjoy them for longer.
Water
Give your dog plenty of water to keep them hydrated. Always keep their doggy bowls full so they can access it at any time during the day.
Exercise
All animals thrive when they are exposed to nature. Regular exercise is vital for dogs of all breeds. Ask us about your breed’s recommended exercise requirements. No matter what size or what breed all dogs love to get out and sniff about!
Health Checks & Vaccinations
Book in an annual health check for your dog so that we can help you ensure your dog is up to date with all their vaccinations and boosters. We will never give them something your dog doesn’t need.
Oral Hygiene
Keeping your pet’s teeth and gums healthy is a vital part of ensuring they have a happy and healthy life.
Weight
You must ensure your dog is a healthy weight for their breed. Your dog ideally should be lean as excess weight can put additional strain on their joints and organs. If your dog loses any weight that cannot be explained, bring them down to us and we can assess if this is within the normal range for your dog.
Food
Give your dog good quality pet food and avoid giving them scraps of food from the table. If you feel you need advice on how to choose the right food for your dog you can check out our advice on the Dog Nutrition page.
Love
Like us, dogs love attention and affection. Your love will help them thrive and will keep them healthier for longer!
